Knight Castellan

The Knight Castellan is a Dominus-class super-heavy chassis, dwarfing even the Cerastus patterns and approaching titan-class proportions. It is piloted by two crew working in concert: a master Knight noble bonded to the Throne Mechanicum, and a Sacristan engineer maintaining the chassis' lance-tier weaponry mid-battle. Its primary armament is a volcano lance, a god-killing beam weapon historically reserved for true titans, paired with a plasma decimator that fires sustained barrages of plasma bolts capable of vaporising armoured formations. A Castellan does not march to war — it advances. Its stride is measured, deliberate, and ground-shaking, a moving fortress whose mere appearance can break enemy morale. The hull is studded with secondary weapons — twin siegebreaker cannons, missile pods, autocannons — turning every surface into a firing port. Castellans bonded to the most ancient noble dynasties carry battle scars from millennia of warfare, including marks said to date back to the [[horus-heresy]] itself. To deploy a Castellan is to commit an entire heraldic dynasty's central treasure to the field.

Knight Valiant

The Knight Valiant is the close-assault counterpart to the Castellan, built on the same Dominus-class chassis but configured for devastating short-to-medium range engagements. Its primary armament is a thundercoil harpoon — a colossal magnetically-accelerated spear that impales armoured targets and conducts arcing electrical discharge through their chassis — and a conflagration cannon that floods entire battlefronts with promethium-fuelled flame. Like the Castellan, the Valiant is twin-piloted: a noble lord controls the chassis through the Throne Mechanicum while a Sacristan engineer manages the colossal weapon systems. Valiants are the chosen war engines of the most aggressive Knight dynasties, those whose heraldic traditions valourise the crushing assault over patient siege warfare. The conflagration cannon's fire is said to burn with a heat that approaches the surface of stars, leaving entire enemy formations as ash and slag. Tales from the [[knight-worlds]] tell of Valiants single-handedly breaking siege lines manned by traitor [[adeptus-astartes]] forces, their thundercoil harpoons skewering daemon engines two at a time. To witness a Valiant in motion is to witness the [[imperium]] at its most uncompromisingly martial.
